Hartlepool town centre is to host a new street food event this summer and autumn, with Hartlepool Borough Council partnering with Street Food Carousel organiser Baccanalia to bring the attraction to Church Square.

The event will take place on four dates: Saturday 1 August from 4pm to 8pm, followed by further events on 22 August, 19 September and 31 October.

What to Expect

The Street Food Carousel promises a vibrant festival atmosphere with food vendors and independent traders. The council expects the event to attract people into the town centre and boost footfall for nearby pubs, bars and restaurants.

How Local Businesses Can Get Involved

Baccanalia is inviting local traders to apply for stalls. Food vendors, retailers and other businesses looking to showcase their products or services are encouraged to get involved. Interested businesses can email info@baccanalia.co.uk for further information.

Councillor Rob Darby, Chair of the Council's Housing, Growth and Communities Committee, said the event will help drive footfall into the town centre. Thomas Wales, Managing Director of Baccanalia, added that Street Food Carousel has already proved popular across the North-East.
