Hartlepool Borough Council is seeking a tenant to lease land at Brierton Sports Centre to develop new sporting facilities for local residents.
The site covers 3,200 square metres and is currently laid out as six tarmac tennis courts. It is available for sport uses, excluding football, subject to necessary agreements and planning consents.
What's included
The successful operator may be granted access to changing and toilet facilities within Brierton Sports Centre. The centre is open from 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm at weekends.
The tenant will be responsible for all repairs and maintenance of the site, including the existing floodlighting.
Lease terms
The council is offering the site by informal tender. Bids must include an annual rent offer and preferred lease term, with a minimum of five years required.
